Fermented Fruit Spritzer with Natural Calm Magnesium

If you’re aware of the kombucha craze and looking to tap into the health benefits of fermentation, we have the recipe for you! Straight from Natural Vitality’s Calmful Living test kitchen, this fresh fruit spritzer delivers probiotics, antioxidants and our favourite mineral – magnesium!

Lightly sweet and just a tad salty, it’s the perfect electrolyte replacer in hot weather or a tasty treat to enjoy on a sunny day.

Serves: 2
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Natural Calm Raspberry-Lemon or Cherry flavour
½ cup hot water
1½ cups cold water
2 cups coconut water
¼ cup brine (see note below)
1 peach, pitted and sliced
¼ cup fresh blueberries (optional)
Ice

Directions

Place Natural Calm powder in a glass or mug, add hot water. Let it fizz, then stir until dissolved. Mix with cold water, coconut water, brine, fresh fruit, and serve over ice.

Note: Brine can come from the juice of homemade or store-bought sauerkraut. You can also use kombucha, which is widely available in the beverage section of natural health stores and even chains like Fortino’s.
