Natural CALM Kids Popsicle Recipe

Kids popsicles with Natural Calm

It’s not always easy to get the nutrition your kids need into their little bodies — unless you deliver it via popsicle!

These magnesium-rich kids popsicle recipes are super-simple and perfect for hot summer days when kids are craving a refreshing treat.

There’s no sugar and nothing artificial, so you can feel great serving it up anytime. Bedtime snack? Why not. The calming magnesium will help them get the rest they need. Each recipe features our own Natural Calm magnesium citrate powder.

Of course, these recipes are JUST for kids! Grown ups love to cool off with a popsicle as well, and they’ll love the natural flavours in these.

How Much Natural Calm Per Kids Popsicle?

Depending on the size of the popsicle moulds you use, the amount of magnesium in a single serving will vary.

For example, if you add 1 tsp of Natural Calm and make a batch of 6 popsicles, then a single popsicle will deliver most of the magnesium needed for a child between the ages of 1 and 3 (see dosing guidelines below). Children ages 4 – 8 would need 3 popsicles to get their recommended 1/2 tsp daily.

But don’t sweat it! A little below or above the guideline is just fine.

Every kid is different and magnesium needs vary by weight, activity level and diet. Even factors like stress and sugar intake will increase a child’s requirements for magnesium.

You’ll know if your child is getting enough magnesium if they’re regular, sleeping well and free from symptoms of magnesium deficiency. If your child has loose stools, that’s a sign their body is eliminating excess magnesium and you can cut back on the Natural Calm.
