This week we posted a link on the Natural Calm Facebook page to an article on must-have supplements for travel. According to Young and Raw, magnesium and melatonin are among the eight essentials.

We couldn’t agree more. I bring my Natural Calm travel packs in my carry-on luggage and have a hot, calming drink in air. Together with our Heavenly Sleep Melatonin, magnesium helps me to reset my clock whenever we cross time zones – which is frequently.

Right now we’re celebrating our 23rd anniversary in the Mediterranean, en route to Kenya for Organics 4 Orphans. The food here is amazing, of course, but I miss the green smoothies Dale whips up every morning. A daily dose of greens keeps us energized, resilient and wards-off weight gain.

So, what do we do when we’re on the road? I’d like to say we hit up farmer’s markets and use a mortar and pestle to grind local leaves into low-tech smoothies – but, it just isn’t the case.

We use Moringa Leaf Powder instead. The leaves of the Moringa oleifera tree are more nutrient-dense than any other fresh or dried green you may already be using. If wheatgrass is your go-to travel green, you may be interested to know that Moringa has far more chlorophyll.

It’s simply ideal for keeping your immunity up while travelling.

The powder mixes into water or juice easily. Chug back a teaspoon or two and you are set for the day!
